Attention is a subset of time, therefore it’s more limited. How you spend your attention is more important than how you spend your time… Giving someone your attention is giving more than just giving your time.

Another smart post from @jasonfried. Now it’s about focusing on this practice.

The Twilight Zone Time Enough At Last Part 1 of 3 (via sxualpanda)

I enjoyed watching the Twilight Zone when I was a kid. Very few episodes stuck with me but this one was one of them.

I’m reminded of this episode whenever I stumble on sites like The IxD Library or when I look at my Kindle library on my iPad. There just isn’t enough time. But I also don’t want to be Mr. Henry Bemis.

How soon do people need to get information and respond to it? The believers in the group say the drumbeat of incoming data has created a false sense of urgency that can affect people’s ability to focus.

That’s the problem, isn’t it? We have a distorted view of priorities.

You were maturing, too — with better applications arriving every day. Instapaper was finally released bringing fine typographic control to the iPad reading experience. This, I now see, was my gateway drug.

Things take time…
