The Batman Complex - Theatrical Trailer

What if Batman was just a figment of Bruce Wayne’s imagination?

Excellent excellent editing and mash-up.

X-Men: First Class Title Sequence (by Joe D!)

This sequence was designed to give a very brief primer on the time period, the setting, as well as show the relationships of the characters in this film, as they are very different from the previous movies and audiences shouldn’t be confused as to why Professor X and Magneto, enemies in the original trilogy, are the best of friends in this prequel.

Simply brilliant. So well executed.

Dead Island: Official Announcement Trailer (via IGNentertainment)

Simply phenomenal. Great concept and execution. The post on IGN is right… “watch it… and then watch it again.”

Right on! Bill Cunningham New York will be shown across the country with a 2-week run here in NYC. On the rare chance you don’t know Bill Cunningham, here’s the trailer for the documentary or his topic page on NYTimes.

Here’s Viola and Bill. Bill loved her “trapeze” outfit, btw.

The Tree of Life Trailer 2011 HD (via TheMovieReel)

I’ve been waiting for years to see this movie. Terrence Malick is by far my favorite director of all time, and this movie looks like it might be his masterpiece.

This is fabulous. Also can’t wait for this movie to come out.

Filmography 2010 (via genrocks)

Now that’s commitment and some excellent editing. Give this @genrocks a job. Well done.

The video also reminds me of how little we went to the movies this year. Here’s a list of films in order of appearance. Wish they linked to Netflix. (HT @kottke)

As I’m watching, I can’t help but think how so accessible it is nowadays to create these professional-looking production trailers. It is pretty awesome. And funny.

The trailer feels a bit like the documentary is a bit of self-promotional shtick. I hope I’m wrong.
